The timeline of my phones

Here are the phones that I have used and is currently using:

Nokia 8250
  Practically my first phone
Got it after UPSR

SE T610
My first colour screen phone
A scandal happened when I used this phone

SE T630
I used this for quite long until my friend bought it from me
Slightly better than T610

SE K700
One of the best phones that I ever had until it gave me lots of problems
so I only used it for 3 months.

SE W810
My beloved phone for 5 years!
Until some ass stole it!

SE F305
My sub phone as I had to go tuition so I used this as my second phone.
This is still with me

Nokia E71
My dad got this for me after my W810 got stolen but I didn't really liked it.
After a week of usage I sold it.

Nokia 5800
My first touchscreen phone and I liked it at first
until it started to give me problems.
I sold it to my friend as he needed a new phone.

From all these phones, I am blessed to have owned almost 10 phones than those who can't even afford to buy one! I'm really thankful to God for blessing me with these phones..

Cheers,
Cj

First step to driver's licence

I finally made up my mind to start the road to my driver's licence. I enrolled into IMKEDA, a driving institute as it was the nearest to my house apart from Metro which charged double the fees of IMKEDA which was much nearer to my house. I knew I would be the only Chinese there but fortunately there was another Chinese guy there as well and made friends with him. The first session was quite ok but when the second session came, it was like 'Sejarah' back in school and it was boring like hell. I played PSP all the way until it was over. The first step now has been taken and the second awaits..

Revival of Christian Fellowship in BUCH & my 50th post!

Su Mei was responsible for the matter above! Thanks to her it was a successful first time gathering in their 1st sem & my 2nd.. For me, it doesn't really matter when is it because she kept asking me when, and I just said "you do it, everyone will follow suit".

It was after classes yesterday at 5.30 which was quite late in the campus as the management requested that it be closed by 6.30. It all started with a small discussion and election of the CM(Committee Members). Almost immediately when it was mention, my name was being yelled as President. But, we have democracy so it will be based on votes. Names that were called :

Su Mei
CJ
Sattis
Harvey

So, these people were asked to wait outside while votes were casted, after we were called in, this was the verdict :

President : Harvey
V. President : CJ
Secretary: Sattis
Treasurer : Su Mei
Worship Leader : Asher (he was automatically in this post)
International Rep : Heiki

I would think that this is fair. Its fine that I'm not President, it's not a big hooha. So, we began with asking who're the Christians & which church they attended. Sattis said "x church" as he attends & doesn't attend church but its because he's not a Christian. Since, we're open minded, it didn't matter at all. Then, we continued with praise & worship, it was quite flat as some were still sitting on their chairs.

Su Mei had to call everyone to stand and it was better. Asher was the guitarist and Su Mei & Amanda song lead. We then proceeded to discussing the agenda for the sem.

Video competition
Outings
Gig

Regarding the 3rd agenda,Su Mei started asking the people who can sing, play instruments. I was selected to sing backup as I was also a backup singer in Nex Gen before..Asher was a versatile musician, he can be a singer, guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboardist and many more. After this, it was the final song which Amanda led. and she said something which I've heard numerous times before, "what you're singing is just words, you must sing them from your heart where tit will touch God's heart". Then, she ended with a prayer. It was a spectacular first meeting!

Ever since I watched Glee for the first time, I was amazed with their ability of singing and I was crazy of Glee after that. I'm a Glee club member in BUCH but when I first joined, I knew nothing about it. But, now I know what is it about.. Though we can't be as good as the American teens, just like a what Rachel said in Glee "thought we can't be as good as Vocal Adrenaline(another Glee club), we can be different." Damn, I've quoted too many people today! Cheers! Mew.

My Love For You

When I first saw you
my heart almost melted
it is because of your beauty that captivates me
it is your kind heart & compassion that makes you an angel

It drives me to do things that surpasses my normal ability
it makes me wanna spend more time with u everyday
it saddens me when I see u cry or sad
it makes me go great lengths just to see that smile on your face

'It' is my love for you

Venezuelan cook out at BUCH!

During Mr Chris' class, Chef Andy approached and asked us whether we would want to participate in a Venezuelan food workshop. Rachel, Wen Nin, KY & I was interested in it. It was held on Friday, a day before the Extreme Park Outing. So, we had to be in BUCH by 9 am to register but I arrived at about 10 am because of the packed trains. Ms. May Yuen was in charge of our registration so I signed in and was given a locker to store my stuff and I was also given a goodie bag with recipes and Venezuelan delicacies in it.

Each of the students were assigned to a dish and I was assigned to one of the Venezuelan chefs. We were in charge of making Stuffed Avocado with Shrimps which was the appetizer. His name was José Luis. He told me fetch all of the required ingredients and taught me how to cut the avocados. So I squeezed the lemons while he cut the avocados. He told me to blanch the tomatoes so that its skin can be peeled easily. Matt was there so he boiled the water inside the pot and I put the tomatoes when the water is already boiling. While waiting for the tomatoes, I started chopping the onions while José Luis shelled the shrimps.

I also prepared a bowl with ice to cool the tomatoes. Matt quickly scooped the tomatoes out of the pot when it was done. They cooled down quickly so Matt peeled them as his pumpkin soup was already done. I started chopping the tomatoes after he peeled them. Chef Rasidi taught me how to chop the onions as I had some difficulty. After that, I started slicing the mangoes. José Luis had finished shelling the shrimps. Chef Tamara Rodriguez was the facilitator of the workshop so she oversees all of the dishes. So, he started sauteing the onions first as I sliced the shrimps.

So, after he was done Matt & I scooped the cooked shrimps and filled it inside the avocados. We brushed the avocados with lemon juice before filling them. So, everyone was done with their dishes and we snapped pictures of them. Madam came over to see and hand us the certificate of participation. The Venezuelan ambassador also came. His name is Carlos, almost similar to mine. Each member of the team making the dishes had to talk about their dish and after that, I dived into the food as I didn't have breakfast! The food were awesome! Chef Tamara praised us for doing an excellent job! We had to wash the plates and cutlery so I went home after packing some of the dishes. The workshop was really fun & I learned many things there!!

Extreming at Extreme Park

Extreme ParkA few of the Triple D club members including myself went to Extreme Park last Sat.. I had small group the night before and I was effing tired when I woke up on Sat as I have to be at TS by 7.30! I was late so I arrived at around 7.44 but Wong Sifu arrived 10 mins later. Then, Hein Yew made sure there were 16 of us then off we went to Extreme Park by a school bus. Josh was acting as an announcer of a train. Announcing each LRT station as we went pass them. I fell asleep immediately cz I only had 4 hours of sleep! Then, they woke me up when we arrived there.

We expected to arrive there in 1 hr 15 mins but surprisingly the trip only took 30 mins! It was 8.30 when we arrived, so its not opened yet. As I haven't had breakfast yet, I went for breakfast at KFC. We waited and waited and waited until 9.15 when the instructor came, he told us to start with Wall Climbing first so we divided into 2 groups and my group went for Archery first and the other group started with Wall Climbing. Archery was easy as I tried it before a few years back. Most of my shots were on the target and my group were amazed at my accurate shots. After Archery, we exchanged places with the other group. Wall Climbing was initially quite tough as the foot and handholds are quite small and hard to hang on to them. I did it 1.5 times as my arms had no more strength after climbing halfway.

It was Flying Fox after that, it was exciting but not as much as in the NS camp 2 years ago where it was much longer than the one in Extreme Park. Some of them were afraid of heights so they closed their eyes and held on the the rope tightly as they slide across to the other side. Then, we had lunch at Burger King and I ordered the new "Angry Whopper", it was effing spicy with all the chillies and hot sauce in it. After lunch, it was the best activity ever, Paintball! We went to take our gear inside the store room. Then, we walked to the Paintball area where we were briefed on the rules of the game. Its a 5 on 5 game so in the first round, I chose to be a sub as I wanted to take a rest first.

The first round ended with the other group winning when Michelle grabbed the flag. So, I replaced Hein Yew in the 2nd round but we lost again as the flag was again captured by the opposition which was by Josh. In the 3rd round we planned a strategy and it resulted in a victory as Shafiq grabbed the flag when Hui Jen & I kept the opposition busy as we fired our markers unceasingly and I accidentally fired 1 of the instructors in the chest! He was puzzled as we didn't know who shot him. I pretended that I didn't know about it. We emerged as victors again in the 4th round when Hein Yew took the flag and threw it to Carmen and I managed 2 hits on Josh when he tried to grab the flag. I landed another one directly on Wong's face mask. Headshot! Then came the final round where the winner of the game will be decided as we were geld to a 2-2 draw so far.

The final round was a deathmatch and it was NO MERCY so if one of us gets shot, he/she continues until he/she runs out of pellets. Mine ran out pretty fast and I was shot in the face by Mich.It didn't hurt but the pellet than deflected of my right arm was really painful! In the end, my group won 3-2! Simon & TK still had pellets so they did target practice on bottles that were hung on a tree. It was a really tiring and my face was perspiring from the face mask. We then went for  a shower and changed. We were thirsty and dehydrated from all of the activities, so we walked to a nearby mamak to have Teh O Ais Limau. It was ultimately refreshing when I sipped it. We quickly finished and walked back to Extreme Park. Hein Yew was already waiting there and we snapped pictures with the instructors. The bus shortly arrived after taking some pictures.

I was so tired that I immediately fell asleep after taking a seat in the bus. Hein Yew snapped pictures of us sleeping! The bus driver dropped us at the Hang Tuah station so it was easier for us to go back home. I quickly took a cold shower and went to sleep. That was one of the best outings I ever had!

Aftereffects of the activities :

1. Archery - Ached arms

2. Wall climbing - Strength & energy loss

3. Flying fox - Indescribable pain (for the guys) in the groin

4. Paintball - Excruciating pain at the spot where the pellet hit, mine was in my face and right shoulder..

Here's the link to the shots taken : Extreme Park

There's too many to upload so I uploaded them to a media sharing site..

Coffee Hangover in BUCH

On Tue, KY, Rach & I went to the 14th floor in TS for our ULSS assignment.. We're planning to do a coffee demo. So, we asked Mr Chris to assist us as he's the head of the Coffee & Tea Academy there. We went there after lunch so he explained briefly about the origins of coffee that came from Ethiopia where a goat herder discovered his goats went hyper after eating some strange berries. So, Kaldi the goat herder brought to the Islam monks to try it but they disapproved of its use and threw it in the fire from which an enticing aroma billowed.. They raked some out of the fire and mixed it with water, yielding the world's first cup of coffee.

Then he showed us how to make a cup of espresso first then cappuccino which was quite complicating. BUt, we had class so he told us to come back later. After ULSS, we returned and he continued with latte and macchiato.. Then, KY wanted to do frappe so we borrowed a blender from Samplings and made a nice cup of frappe actually a lot of it till we can't finish it.. Mr Chris added bubblegum syrup into the latte and asked another student to try it, I tried it and it tasted bad.. I added curacao and it tasted better (:

Then, he made mojito for us.. The 'halal' version as the original version uses white rum. It was ultimately refeshing!! KY and I ordered a bottle of Wild Mint syrup from him so we can also make it at home. We drank so much of coffee till it became like a coffee hangover. So, we can start practicing on making the 5 types of coffee on Fri.. The order goes like this :

Rach - Cappuccino
KY - Frappe
Me - Latte & Macchiato

Then, Karan came over to disturb us and suggested that we do coffee liqueur instead but that is far too advanced for us at the moment. He taught us how to do basic coffee art.. This was mine :

It looks like shit cz I didn't clean the stirrer after doing once. In order to do a nice one, you have to clean the tool to avoid overlapping the new line with foam.

I have returned!!

After being "dead" for 2 months, I'm back! An overview of wht happened 2 months ago..

Jan
- Resigned from D' Bar (Dessert's Bar)
- enrolled in BUCH (Berjaya University College of Hospitality)
- Befriended a cute tanned Chinese girl there (too bad she only speaks Mandarin!)
- Learned some Tieng Viet from Vietnamese classmates..  (khỏe không is how are you)

Feb
- Attended BUCH's Valentine's Day event
- Cameron Highlands for CNY

Mar
- Prince of Norway came to BUCH
- Salmon hangover (Ate lotsa salmon, I mean LOTS!)
- SPM results (Not disclosing it here)
- Eze's return to M'sia

That was the overview of what happened in the past 2 months...

Now, I'm gonna continue up to today! Mr Chris' class canceled yesterday due to unforeseen circumstances. As usual I have to leave the house by 10 as I followed mum out. KLCC was my first destination as I wanted to get brand new headphones.. I mean good quality ones NOT made in China!! Skullcandy is the one I want as I had tested Eze's ones, sound quality good especially bass.. Unfortunately, they're only available in selective shops like Quiksilver and Triple Crown only.. I went to the Quiksilver in KLCC..

Inquired about it and each of the models, changed my mind about the one I wanted as I wanted the one with a mic but it only works for iPhones!! Damn! Initially, I wanted Skullcrushers but they're too darn expensive here compared to US. Then, I walked to Pavi and to the Quiksilver there.. Lesser models but more variety.. Didn't have the one I was looking for. So, I walked again to the BB Monorail Stn, The weather was so hot that I sweat as if I was taking a shower.

I joined my course-mates for lunch in TS. They planned to eat at Food & Tea Hong Kong Restaurant. It was a pretty good place as this was my 2nd time there.. Ordered cheese baked rice.. It was awesome! I wished I knew how to cook it. Class resumed at 2.. Ended at 4 so I went back quite early this time to avoid the jam and people!

BUCH

This is my first post about BUCH ever since I joined it 2 weeks ago. In case you don't know what is/what does it stand for, it is a college, Berjaya University College of Hospitality or BUCH for short. It specializes in Hospitality & Culinary courses. It is located inside Berjaya Times Square. Pretty cool isn't it? I never knew this place existed till I saw its booth at the Edu Fair 3 weeks ago. I was attracted to it when I saw its courses and facilities.. Who isn't attracted to a college that's located inside a mall or has a lobby that looks like a hotel? The assistant marketing manager, Mr Resh was the person in charge of the booth so he was the one telling us about the place.  BA & JuYi was there too. I was surprised when I saw Richmond @ Rich man there cz I never knew he was studying there! He told us the interesting activities they held there last year e.g Robert Rainford from Licence To Grill was there to demonstrate, Moses Chan from the Hong Kong limelight was there & a competition similar to Hell's Kitchen was held there as well! Jamie Oliver was scheduled to come the week after.

There was a discount available for M'sian citizens cz the college was still quite new. After thinking through, I decided to join BUCH! I was interested in Hospitality as I would like to serve people. I registered the week after as I was still working then. So, Mr Resh brought me for a tour around the place! I was awestruck when I entered the campus! The lobby looked like a hotel lobby! Their library was superb as well! There were no classes on Fridays for Foundation students so there were a few of them inside the ICT lab. I registered in Foundation as I wanted to know the basics of it before making any rash decisions. I missed the orientation as it was held on the 6th-8th Jan.

After I registered, I was given a goodie bag  that consists of several maps, notepads and a Berjaya Hotel towel which could prove useful. I was also given a t-shirt which I chose pink which is not my favourite colour but I kinda like it cz I don't have single t-shirt which is pink in colour. I was actually 1 week late for my classes as it had started on that week itself which is on the 11th of Jan but Mr Resh said that the lecturers would be able to assist me if I couldn't catch up on the lessons. Mr Resh also gave me the schedule for the semester which was the Jan '10 semester

Working at Dessert's Bar

I was bored after SPM.. Wanted to look for a job as I didn't intend to stay at home and get fat like a couch potato!

No way, josè! I can't imagine myself looking like that! So, I went to look for a job in a mall that was nearby my house which was KLCC. I wanted to work at Toy's R Us but there was no vacancy! Arggh! I wandered around a bit and saw this cafe that looks kinda interesting so I walked in and asked whether they had vacancy, actually they were finding workers. :) I filled in the application form and they told me to work at the Menara Hap Seng branch located just 10 mins from KLCC cz this branch is full. So, I told them tht I'll start on 22nd Dec. The manager, Mr. Bala said alright.

...........Then came 22nd, my shift starts at 10 so I arrived there 5 mins before, the supervisor, Mr. Gobi told me I was supposed to be there 15 mins before.. I was introduced to the other 2 workers there, Dialan & Azamri whom I called Abang cz he was the most senior there. I was given the duty to memorise the menu and to give out flyers, standing outside and inhaling the smoke and dust gave me the cough and flu that I didn't ask for.

I wanted to go back inside but I had to finish giving out the flyers, I managed to give it all out by 1. Then, I was taught how to serve the customers and to welcome them when they walked in. I went for lunch at about 3 as there was a big crowd from 12 till 3. I went with Abang to eat lunch at one abandoned parking lot where there was a small stall selling nasi lemak, mee, etc. After eating, we continued sitting there cz our legs were aching after standing for so long! Imagine standing for 5 hours straight without even having a chance to sit. There wasn't a lot of customers today. Most of them went to Starbucks & Old Town which were next to us..
I went back at 7 cz we had to work exactly 8 hours excluding 1 hour break. Tht was the end of my first day of working there.

I worked for another 2 days, then I took off on 25th Dec as it was Christmas & Eze's parents 20th wedding anniversary. I continued on 28th and 29th then I took off again, continued on 4th Jan as sch students & working adults went back to school & work. I worked for another 11 days as I wanted to enrol in college after I've visited the Star Edu Fair. My last day of work was on the 14th of Jan. Had a lot of good & bad memories there but I had several complications while working there, I haven't received my Dec & Jan pay as I'm writing this post, I only received my application letter on my last day of working there and I didn't received my set of uniforms! But, at least the pay was good which I wouldn't disclose it here.
